Flex Your FHE Muscle at 2018FLEX

NextFlex is gearing up for the ultimate gathering of the top minds in flexible hybrid electronics and IoT, smart medtech, smart automotive, and smart manufacturing at 2018FLEX in Monterey, California.

On the morning of Monday, February 12th, Mike Mastropietro, NextFlex’s senior engineering manager of printing and additive processing, co-leads a short course “Basics, Flexible Hybrid Electronics & Lab to Fab” alongside Professor Mark Poliks, Binghamton University, and Professor James Watkins, University of Massachusetts Amherst.

That afternoon, NextFlex Executive Director Dr. Malcolm Thompson moderates a panel discussion that delves into applications, as seen through the perspectives of GE Global Research, OLEDWorks LLC, Lucintech, and Panasonic.

NextFlex can also be found throughout Tuesday and Wednesday in the exhibit hall at booth 1001, and invites questions about the state of the art Technology Hub and its process capabilities, project call funding process, or how your workforce needs can be met. A first-of-its-kind demo is also in the works—stay tuned for the surprise debut.

The week of public events wraps up on Friday morning with a tour of the NextFlex Technology Hub at the institute headquarters in San Jose. When complete, the Technology Hub will house more types of functional printing tools under one roof than anywhere else in the world.

Concurrently that week, NextFlex members convene for Technical Council, Governing Council, Member Reception, Technical Working Groups, and a High-Performance Flexible Systems Roadmapping and Strategy session.
